Quality Control Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Straddle Engineer Team and work in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment.  This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy Engineering Department. The duties of the role will include but are not limited to the following;

  • Implement process control and ensure process capability is maintained and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Completion of statistical analysis in compliance with Quality System requirements.
  • Create quality plans, define testing protocols, and prepare comprehensive performance reports in compliance with Quality Management System requirements.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintain product and process data base by; entering data, developing documents.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
  • Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
  • Investigate, log and resolve all component quality issues from your respective Quality Workbench on a weekly basis.
  • Liaise with key stake holders, including Engineering, Purchasing, Procurement, and The Lean & Quality department in the resolution of issues.
  • Liaise with the Quality Department in relation to quality issues and ensure all issues are closed off fully in line with the business’s expectations.
  • Carry our improvement-based projects as instructed by the Production Manager.

  • Degree in Engineering with relevant experience is essential.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy with detail.

  • Track record in working independently and as a member of a cross-functional team, to multi-task and do what it takes to meet high expectations and tight deadlines.
