Spare Parts Advisor 
Principal Purpose:  To advise dealers on their parts requests and supply update to date quotations and parts support pertaining to same,

Nature and Scope: Take phone calls/emails/tickets from our Global dealers/customer, translate their requirement for parts into part numbers and generate a quotation from our computer system.

  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role, primarily dealt in spare part for machinery.
  • Experience in the Material Handling/Forklift industry is ideal but a similar industry such is industrial/agricultural/automotive may also be suitable.
  • The ability to read and understand parts illustrations and technical data is essential.
  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills.
  • Competence in using ERP/MRP and Email/Ticking System.
  • Fluent English is essential.

  1. Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competitors.
  2. Acquire a thorough understanding of customer’s needs and requirements
  3. Acquire a thorough understanding of products and services
  4. Take phone calls from our Global dealers/customer, translate their requirement for parts into part numbers which can be inputted into our computer system
  5. Entering all required data for quotations onto the company system
  6. For new products, assess each product and order the appropriate parts to ensure first class after sales service can be delivered.
  7. Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
  8. Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships
  9. Acknowledge and following up within 24 hours on enquiries and sending out information to the customer.
  10. Responding to incoming email, Tickets and phone enquiries
  11. Challenging any objections with a view to the customer being satisfied with customer service.
  12. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending training workshops where possible
  13. Working as part of a team to accomplishing related results as needed
  14. Attending team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues
  15. Confidentiality is required in relation to all customers details and suppliers’ details. Under no circumstance is any third party to receive any information relating to customers or suppliers’ details.
  16. In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed above, the Parts Technical Advisor may be required to perform other duties as deemed reasonable and necessary
