CombiLift’s exceptional success has been acknowledged at a major awards ceremony in Dublin.

 

Robert Moffett and Martin McVicar were presented with the Excelling Enterprise of The Year Award at the Business and Finance Awards at a gala event in The Convention Centre, Dublin.

RTE presenter Claire Byrne told the audience of leading business people that the award recognises the performance and the potential of the best Irish business has to offer. “This award acknowledges companies who are demonstrating exceptional success in an entirely new industry on the global stage. It recognises the emergence of hyper-growth companies who are demonstrating exceptional success in an entirely new industry on the global stage”

In presenting the award to Combilift Shaun Murphy, Managing Partner, KPMG said that the Combilift story is an example to every aspiring entrepreneur. He highlighted the company’s passion for continuous improvement and ongoing significant investment in R&D. “The willingness of Combilift to fearlessly take on the toughest of global competition exemplifies the very best in Irish business.”

Accepting the award co-founder of Combilift Martin McVicar acknowledged the team effort of the Combilift workforce and reiterated the company’s plans for further global growth. “The success of Combilift relies on the team of 500 people in Monaghan but it is really 500 families that we are supporting in a rural community and as a company, we are committed to continuing to grow in a rural area. This award recognises the commitment that we in CombiLift have made to growing our business in global markets.”

Combilift is set to double its output in the next five years as its new purpose-built factory nears completion.  The new 46,000m² factory in Monaghan town will be the largest single manufacturing unit under one roof in Ireland. The expansion will also create additional jobs in 2018.
