Combilift were delighted to welcome Thomas Nader the Austrian Ambassador & Josef Treml the Trade Commissioner & Commercial Counsellor to Combilift HQ earlier this week for an insightful tour of the Combilift factory and Combilift HQ.

Combilift’s relationship with Austria began in 2003, when the first Combilift to be shipped into this region, the original C-Series model – was delivered to a customer in the timber industry. The C-Series enables clients to operate with ease throughout the most challenging weather conditions thanks to the all-wheel traction and the innovative engineering behind the machine. To this day this model is still highly popular in Austria, with trucks operating in multiple industry sectors.

Combilift’s Austrian dealer and customer network has since continued to expand and multiply, and in 2018 Combilift appointed a dedicated Austrian based country manager – Mr Gregor Kramar, to oversee this market. Combilift achieved over €4m in revenue in Austria in 2020, and thanks to an ever increasing product range, further future growth is expected.

Links with Austria were further enhanced in June 2016 when Combilift reached a major milestone, delivering it’s 30,000th production unit to Haslinger Stahlbau. This major European Structural Steel company is headquartered in Feldkirchen in Southern Austria and operates a total of eight Combilift units.

Continued growth has seen Combilift celebrate the delivery of its 60,000th production unit in August of this year. The customer was Metroll, a leading Australian manufacturer and supplier of steel building products, also an existing Combilift user with thirteen units in operation throughout Australia and with ten more units on order.

With constant investment in R&D, Combilift’s model range has grown significantly since the first unit was delivered into Austria. Following the recent launch of the Combi-XLE, Combilift can now offer our Austrian customers, along with our global customer base, all the benefits of the original C-Series – safer handing of long loads, maximised use of storage space, and more efficient use of manpower, but with the additional advantages of reduced emissions with this fully electric powered machine. This results in a reduction of the overall carbon footprint.
