Vender quality Engineer

EXPERIENCED VENDOR QUALITY ENGINEER WANTED – JOIN OUR FAST-PACED TEAM!

We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused Vendor Quality Engineer to join our busy manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity to work closely with production, supply chain, and vendor teams to resolve quality issues, maintain accurate records, and support continuous improvement across the business.

Key duties include resolving vendor non-conformances, maintaining accurate quality data, preparing reports, supporting weekly progress updates, coordinating the return of faulty components, assisting with production rejects, and carrying out vendor audits when required. Strong communication, organisation, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities & duties

Key duties include working through vendor quality issues on the non-conformance workbench and resolving them in a timely and efficient manner. The role involves maintaining accurate data within the Vendor Quality module, resolving non-conformances with relevant stakeholders while minimising disruption to production, and providing weekly progress reports to SCM and Production Pit meetings. Responsibilities also include handling components, arranging logistics for faulty parts to be returned to vendors, preparing accurate non-conformance reports for vendor review, carrying out vendor audits with onsite visits when requested by SCM, and assisting with the processing of rejected parts from production defect trolleys.

Qualifications and skills

Required qualifications include the ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently when resolving issues. Candidates should have a qualification or relevant industry experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, a positive ‘can do’ attitude, and a strong motivation to meet high quality standards. They should work well under pressure, have experience meeting deadlines, be organised, show good attention to detail, and maintain accurate records. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required, along with the ability to travel and liaise or negotiate with vendor representatives, including Managing Director level.
