Functional Safety Engineer
Reporting to: Â Control Systems Manager
- Design and use processes to ensure our system meets the requirements of existing and future requirements for our truck models to comply with standards and functional safety.
- Liaise with key stakeholders for R&D projects ensuring standards are achieved.
- Validation of existing models across the range.
- Supporting production in overcoming challenges.
- Design and be able to deliver training content to enable colleagues.
- Minimum 1 years’ experience working in the functional safety role.
- Proficient in reading technical documents and navigating between standards.
- Engineering / electrical or software 3rd level qualification.
- Qualification or certificate of completion in a functional safety course.
- Willingness to learn and develop your knowledge in a sharing environment.
The Ideal Candidate should also have experience in several of the following technologies:
- Functional Safety experience in material handling equipment
- Software / PLC Programming
- Mechanical design, assembly
- Basic electrical
- Knowledge of understanding standards
- Production/customer support
