The Combi-CB, Combi-CBE and COMBI C-Series provide multidirectional handling for long, heavy or awkward BESS components where conventional forklifts may require excessive manoeuvring space.
Container Handling
Containerised battery energy storage systems can represent some of the largest loads handled throughout BESS manufacturing, staging and deployment. Their size, weight and value require equipment capable of maintaining stability while providing good visibility and manoeuvrability.
The Combi-SC Straddle Carrier is designed for large containerised loads and can handle 20′, 30′, 40′ and 45′ units with capacities up to 35,000kg. This makes it suitable for moving BESS containers through manufacturing facilities, external storage areas and project sites.
For other large or long BESS equipment, the COMBI C-Series provides capacities up to 55,000lbs with multidirectional travel to help reduce the space required for manoeuvring.
Battery Modules & Racks
Battery modules, battery packs and rack assemblies require careful handling throughout production and assembly. Although smaller than complete BESS containers, these components can still be heavy, valuable and sensitive to unnecessary movement or impact.
The Combi-CB and electric Combi-CBE are well suited to handling battery racks, electrical assemblies and bulky components in restricted production areas. Their multidirectional capability allows operators to move long loads forwards, backwards or sideways.
For smaller components and narrow-space applications, the Combi-WR4 provides compact pedestrian handling, while Aisle Master supports efficient storage and retrieval of palletised battery components.
Production Flow

Site Deployment
BESS handling requirements continue after equipment leaves the factory. Completed battery systems, transformers, power equipment and containerised energy storage units may need to be unloaded, moved through staging areas and positioned around project sites.
The Combi-SC is particularly suited to moving large BESS containers and modular systems around external yards and deployment locations. Its high-capacity lifting capability allows large units to be transported without the turning requirements of a conventional forklift.
The COMBI C-Series can also support heavy transformers, switchgear and long power-system components where multidirectional movement provides an advantage in restricted site layouts.
