Control Systems Placement
Job roles can vary depending the individual’s strengths and Combilift’s priority for certain projects.
- Placement Students will be involved with the development of PLC (Automation type) code and proprietary programming languages, used on Combilift trucks.
- Work on high level language such as C/C++, Java or Python etc. that is used for fleet management and APPs for field support.
- Assist in the testing of returned electronical components, electrical schematics and work on our knowledge base to name but a few.
- Currently Pursuing a Third Level Education in a relevant course Mechatronics/ Electronics/ Software or Computer science.
- Be able to work as a part of a team in projects across their entire lifecycle: from brief and scoping to final commissioning.
- Collaborate on designing, developing, and testing.
- Prepared to travel to company headquarters in Monaghan.
- You will be expected to be able to troubleshoot, work autonomously at times and perform to your highest standards at all times, while integrating with our existing members to promote a beneficial team spirit.
- Real time programming and a working knowledge of hydraulics, CAN bus and motor control are advantageous.
- Knowledge of DC electrical circuits and speed control of induction and PMAC motors.
- Web services, RESTful services API’s, UI/UX design techniques, Databases, data analysis tools.
