Combilift’s Pedestrian Stacker range walks the talk

“Studies show that in Australia forklift operation can pose persistent challenges for businesses by hindering productive handling of goods, limiting warehousing space – Combilfit’s Pedestrian Stacker range provides safer alternatives to traditional forklift models whilst boosting productivity and conserving warehousing space,” says Combilift Australia Country Manager, Chris Littlewood.

In the landscape of the food and beverage industry, every square foot of storage space counts. From warehouses to small food-related environments, maximising storage capacity whilst ensuring efficient handling of various food and beverage products is a constant challenge.

“One of the biggest challenges with conventional forklifts is their rigid and inflexible mobility, particularly when they are carrying heavy loads,” Chris explains. “Limited space in warehouses that store food and beverage goods can impede effective space utilisation when relying on conventional forklift equipment, leading to a loss of productivity overall.”

In today’s economy, warehousing space is an expensive commodity. The cost per square foot for specialised facilities are even higher than those for regular storage. As a result, it becomes crucial to prioritise maximising capacity within businesses current building footprints.

To address these industry concerns, Combilift’s lineup of Electric Walkie Pedestrian Stackers are packed with convenient features, offering an affordable and secure solution for efficiently lifting and manoeuvring goods in confined areas.

Customer experience – Jordan International Transport

Jordan International Transport, a refrigerator transportation company specialising in frozen food transport and pharmaceutical distribution, was needing to maximise capacity and achieve greater outputs whilst reducing overall costs. After reaching out to Combilift for help, the Combi-WR pedestrian stacker was suggested to help increase Jordan International’s storage capacity. Since the implementation of the pedestrian stacker, Jordan International has increased their storage space capacity to 85 percent, compared to the previous 50 percent with standard racking and conventional forklifts.

The Combi-WR enabled them to store substantially more pallets in a condensed area, while reducing working aisle widths.

“It’s perfect for our set up. Working at -18 degrees over a few hours it never misses a beat. We were initially concerned whether a truck could work equally effectively in such cold temperatures compared to normal conditions, but the team at Combilift had all the right specifications and solutions,” says Jordan International Transports’ Storage and Distribution Manager Barry McIlvanna.
