Reporting to the Service and Warranty Manager, placement students gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced global environment. Responsibilities include managing technical bulletins, vendor logs, service support, parts tracking, and technical assistance. Additional tasks involve system testing, process documentation, and health & safety compliance. Full training and support are provided for a well-rounded experience.

Manage and prioritise technical bulletins, ensuring timely creation, approval, and uploading to the knowledge base.

Update logs for battery and engine supplier call-outs while keeping customers and vendors informed via email and phone.

Send correct manuals based on dealer and customer requests or arrange website access when applicable.

Estimate job/kits, track and gather required parts, coordinate shipments, and provide tracking details. Arrange travel for specific jobs and manage training records and certificates.

Handle initial support calls, take notes, and escalate when necessary. With training, resolve technical issues via phone, email, or web requests.

Assist in testing technical support systems, software, and documentation. Responsibilities may evolve as new systems develop.

Control Systems

Experience in real-time programming, hydraulics, CAN bus, and motor control is beneficial. A solid understanding of DC circuits, induction, and PMAC motor speed control is advantageous for technical tasks. As the first point of contact for customer issues, you’ll help prepare technical drawings showcasing Combilift’s space-saving solutions. You will also assist in analysing customer requirements, contributing to design improvements, and ensuring that solutions meet industry standards and client needs.

Handle customer enquiries professionally via email and phone, ensuring compliance with company standards. Work closely with sales representatives and customers to understand warehouse storage requirements.

Create detailed AutoCAD 2D/3D drawings and animations to visualise warehouse layouts. Use Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel, to support documentation and reporting.

Liaise with design engineers to develop warehouse concepts and machine customisations. Provide technical support to customers worldwide, ensuring accurate solutions and clear specifications.

Deliver all projects on time, meeting schedule requirements. Continuously strive to improve technical services and contribute to process enhancements for better efficiency.

Follow all health and safety policies, including PPE use and reporting defects. Participate in safety training, assist with staff development, and maintain strong customer relationships while upholding company policies.

Students will develop interpersonal, problem-solving, and teamwork skills while working in a cross-functional environment. This fully paid placement is available for a fixed period to suit requirements. Combilift is also seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support operations, working closely with the Lean Manager to ensure efficient manufacturing processes.

Assist the Lean Manager in executing and leading problem-solving initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes.

Plan, track, and report on project progress through presentations and written reports.

Analyse workflows, space, and equipment layout to improve efficiency while identifying and resolving issues.

Utilise ERP/MRP software to support and implement improvement projects effectively.

Undertake projects assigned by management to drive operational improvements.
