Green Energy

Combilift’s range of straddle carriers and mobile gantry provide safe, efficient solutions for the Green Energy Industry.  – There’s no load too large or heavy for these workhorses.

Green Energy Industry

Wind turbine elements can be problematic, time consuming and expensive to move around manufacturing facilities and to load for transportation. The Combi-SC is a more efficient option compared to using heavy handling forklifts, reach trucks or mobile cranes and offers complete independence when moving loads around site.

Tandem Mode

The Combi- MG can be operated in tandem mode enabling the moving of extremely long loads such as wind turbine blades or aerospace components with high levels of control and in the safest manner available.

Optional Spreader Beams

Combilift Straddle Carriers can be fitted with spreader beams front and rear to handle long sections of wind turbines of different widths.

Remote Control Option

Combilift offer a wireless remote control option for the Combi-SC which offers safety and productivity benefits. Increased visibility and easier rigging alignment mean safer conditions, the need for a spotter/banksman in a confirmed area is eliminated increasing return on investment.

The use of a wireless remote control eliminates the need for the operator to be in direct contact with a running machine. This means the operator can position themselves in a safer manner, farther away from moving parts, harmful dust, noise and vibration or falling debris that may occur.

Superior Safety

Two wheel hydrostatic drive, synchronised hydraulic steering, front and rear independent side shift and the low level operator cab with 360 degree visibility make this a manoeuvrable, comfortable and very safe handling solution for wind turbine elements.

Low Ground Pressure

The Combi-MG Mobile Gantry offers much more versatility than fixed gantries and substantially lower ground pressure than conventional heavy forklifts. The overall dimensions of this highly mobile and portable unit can be customised to exactly suit your needs e.g Wing Turbines.

The World's Largest Offshore Blade

The COMBi-MG is making effortless work of transporting the world’s longest offshore blade ever produced measuring at an impressive 108 meters long – the Siemens Gamesa B108.
