Modern Slavery & Human Rights Statement
Introduction
Combilift Ltd (“Combilift”) is committed to the highest standards of ethical conduct, integrity, and respect for human rights. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labor, and child labor in our operations and supply chains.
This statement is made pursuant to the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018, and the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act 2010, and serves as Combilift’s annual modern slavery and human rights disclosure. It also reflects our alignment with upcoming EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) requirements.
Our Business and Supply Chain
Combilift is a global manufacturer of multi-directional forklifts and long load handling solutions, headquartered in Monaghan, Ireland. We design, manufacture, and export to over 85 countries.
Our supply chain includes the sourcing of raw materials, components, technology services, and logistics support from global suppliers.
Policies and Governance
We maintain policies and practices that prohibit forced labor, child labor, and human trafficking. These include:
Supplier Code of Conduct requiring compliance with international labor and human rights standards.
Employee Code of Conduct requiring ethical behavior and respect for human dignity.
Whistleblowing/Reporting Mechanism that allows employees, suppliers, and stakeholders to report concerns confidentially.
Responsibility for oversight of this policy rests with Combilift’s Board of Directors and Compliance Officer.
Risk Assessment and Due Diligence
To identify and mitigate risks of modern slavery in our supply chains, we:
Assess suppliers in higher-risk regions or industries.
Include anti-slavery clauses in supplier contracts.
Conduct supplier audits and request evidence of compliance.
Evaluate new suppliers against our ethical sourcing standards.
Training and Awareness
We provide training for procurement, HR, and compliance teams to identify and address risks of forced labor and trafficking.
We also raise awareness among staff and suppliers about how to recognize signs of modern slavery.
Effectiveness and Monitoring
We measure effectiveness of our efforts by monitoring:
The number of supplier audits conducted.
Reported incidents and their resolution.
Progress against annual compliance goals.
We remain committed to continuous improvement and will enhance our approach as new laws and best practices emerge.
